This is not the first time
that you may be hearing about refilling printer cartridges with ink,
and for good reasons though. You also must have come across friends
who do not buy new cartridges for years. However, some who do not
believe in refilling them, do put forward the argument that the
quality of printing goes down with it, especially on photopaper for inkjet.
But for that too, many supporters have the counter argument that it
may rarely be the case. You may think of them as thrifty but the
truth is that it is for the greater good of the humankind.
From Personal Reason to an
Impersonal One
When you invest in ink refill
kits, you not only save yourself a good amount of money but also save
the environment from a pretty cumbersome load of refused cartridges
that have to be recycled. This load amounts to a massive 375
million each year. These either end up in landfills or have to be
incinerated for recycling. The statistics, when brought down to
seconds, it turns out that we discard 11 cartridges per second. With
those many, you could wind up the circumference of the earth thrice.
Now, those are some tense figures.
For Those Who Do Not
Support
For those who do not support
the idea of a refill kit based on the belief that the quality of the
prints diminishes with the act, especially on photopaper glossy, it
may be told that the problem may only be due to the wrong manner in
which the ink is refilled. For this too, there is a rather good
solution. Nowadays, there are services (the same services that
provide stationery like ink, inkjet photo paper, refill
kits, etc.,) which provide you with instructions and assistance on
using the refill kit. This makes you do the job in the best manner
ever. Some even offer to do it for you, either at your premises or
via mail.
The best of cartridges can be
reused for around 15 times. Isn’t that a big saving for the pocket
as well as the environment? If you still don’t support this cause,
then you must read one more reason why reusing cartridges may have
failed you. When you do not use a good quality
glossy photo paper,
the result can be dull or blotchy prints. This is one thing that you
may not have considered but it surely has an effect. The simple
solution is that quality stationery should be bought from a reliable
dealer.
So, instead of buying a new
cartridge, it is much saner to reuse an old one for it serves a dual
purpose. Also make sure that if you cannot do it yourself, hire a
service that can assist you in this endeavor.
Happy Printing!
